I lost the striker that came with my Hollaran ceramic call and was wondering if there was a particular type of wood/tip shape that pairs best with a ceramic surface. What do y'all suggest?
Bloodwood is my goto. I like the Jatoba that JLH built ALOT. Dymondwood works as well. Ipe is a little more raspy on it but it sounds good too.
Ipe, bloodwood, macassar ebony. Did I mention Ipe? Ipe works great too.
Bloodwood is my preference on my Halloran Ceramic

Halloran one piece bloodwood for all my ceramics
I also like David's yellowwood striker on his ceramic call.

Been running a redheart and yellowheart on both my stumpy ceramics. They sound great. Before experimenting I ran bloodwood and ipe. All of them sound plenty good enough to flop a bird.

I have a Hollaran Ipe that sounds incredible on almost everything I put it to including the ceramic I got from Stumpy.
Lyman Hickory... and / or a JLH hickory
My two favorite strikers for my Hollarn ceramic is a Hollarn yellow heart and a green laminate that a friend gave me years ago.
