Had to have a pair of boots. I had a bass pro gift card to get them with. They didn't have my size in any of the brands I wanted and wouldn't have them until "hunting season". Tried to tell them it WAS hunting season to no avail. Lol. Anyway I bought a pair of Cabela's treestand ll that has zero reviews. Bought some Cabela's boots about 15 years ago and swore I would never buy any more. I've had them 3 days and love them. The wide sizes are actually wide. Guess we will see in a few months.
I also just got a new pair of boots from cabela's few months ago, good price. But might be the last time I buy anything from there store at least in MN. The cabela's store in Rogers MN went down hill big time since BassPro bought them out. Totally destroyed that store don't have anything anymore. They had a Bargan Cave maybe a 30/40 room, where they had there returns and discontinued items for sale on discount. They eliminated that and now, and that is where they have there entire collection of hunting clothing. What used to be a big area just for camo and hunting clothing, is now all street clothing. So I won't even bother stopping and going in anymore. But then maybe I should be thanking them because I have plenty of everything to hunt with anyway.
I've got a pair I bought in 2005 not sure if the original or 2 and they're still holding up with a lot of rough miles on them. They're heavy and take some time to break in but mine were very well constructed.
Sorry to hear their stores are going downhill but can't say I am surprised at all. I will buy not Bass Pro Shops branded items but not their brand name stuff, have had several bad experiences with them. Only good deal I did get is for the backpack I got for bow hunting, it will also carry a crossbow and looks like it will do that well but I hat the way it carries a gun, it carries it on the side so when you are putting it on you are laying the gun on the ground. I want to get another backpack just for gun where it will go on the back. Here is the one I have now.
