Title: Base for FF3
Post by: HILBY72 on February 20, 2019, 11:20:52 AM
I just put a FF3 on my Franchi Affinity and it sits a bit to high for my liking. The base I put on was a Weaver 93A. I know some are going to say a 336 base but it does not line up and a  Sumtoy base does not look any lower than what I have now. I was just curious if there were any other suggestions. I like to get as low as I can on the gun. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

You're probably not going to get much lower than having your receiver drilled and tapped for the 336 mount, unless you use a speedbead setup.

I have a SumToy Mount on my SBE, along with a protector and it does sit a little higher then I'd like but it's not terrible once you use it aimed.

I just mounted a speed bead last night on my Benelli M2 and it seems pretty solid but we will see after it gets put through the ringer.  It does sit nice and low though.

Stinkpickle, the 336 base is lower than the 93A and I wonder why they changed the way the factory taps the gun or when. I was just wondering if Millet or another company made a base that would work. Thanks guys
