Wondering what shells you guys use through an Indian creek. Barrel length is 21 inches.

That .665 IC should shoot the Hevi's and Longbeards well.  I would recommend Hevi 6's or 7's and the LB 5 or 6's.

Thanks gonna pattern this weekend. Looking for a good hunting pattern don't want it to be too tight.

How much you want to spend?
I'm shooting 2.5oz of TSS #9s with a .675 Indian Creek. In the past I shot 2.25oz of HeviShot #7s with a .665 Indian Creek with great results.

I don't wanna spend tss money but I'll try hevi shot. I've got some 3.5in double #5 and 3in longbeard #6 to try. I mainly hunt hardwoods so I don't really need much past 35 yards.

Im shooting the same setup as Gobble.  The .675 IC gives a slightly more open pattern that I like.

Long board #5 2oz in a 3.5 won't disappoint

I have a 870 SM with a 26" barrel. When shooting 3" Longbeard 5's & 6's through a .660 & .665 chokes(not IC chokes), I get good patterns at 40yds. My 20yd pattern is about the size of softball....way to tight for my liking. With a Carlson .670 non-ported tube I still get a decent pattern at 40, but my 20yd pattern opens up to about the size of a volleyball. I get better numbers at 40 with tighter chokes, but prefer the more open pattern at 20...90% of shots are under 30 yards.
I get better numbers with 6's over the 5's at 40, but a more even /less holes in the pattern with the 5's. I think I'm shooting the 1 3/4oz loads.

If you want a really tight pattern at 40, find a Remington Ventilator choke(.655) with Longbeards. At you will have about a tennis ball size pattern.
