Title: New to this Forum but have a question
Post by: MWC2019 on February 15, 2019, 05:28:52 PM
New to this site but I have a question in regards to the Federal TSS turkey loads.  I have a 12 gauge H&R single shot with a full choked barrel chambered for 3" Magnums It is an early 80's model number 088. Will these new tungsten loads be safe to shoot in it?

And the same with a 20 gauge Stephens full choke 3" magnum single shot.

Thanks in advance

Welcome aboard! I cant really tell you yes or know. You need to check the pressures on the shells and see if you can find pressure ratings on your guns. Probably will be fine. Someone will chime in and give you a definate answer on that. Good luck and again welcome.

You'll be fine. Like any other gun, the is the risk of scaring is there. The shot is harder then the barrel.

Thanks. I have an old H&R that I am fond of and have taken a lot of birds with here and going out of state in places you now have to use non toxic shot.

Thanks again
