Looking to get a high quality choke for my Rem 870 (with Longbeard XR #6). What have you had the most luck with? Jeb's, Kicks, Indian Creek, Rob Roberts, Sumtoy, Patternmaster, Carlson's, etc.

Rear naked.
20= Sumtoy!!
Guillotine..lol
870 12 ga...Jellyhead .665 for Hevishot
870 20 ga...Carlson .575 for TSS handloads
I've got some old chokes on guns but currently I'm using Indian Creeks
So far lots of love for the 12ga Indian Creek and the Sumtoy for 20ga.
I have a Mossberg 835... always had a Hastings in it. It kills em dead, from several different distances.
Sumtoy on my 20ga
Well for my 12 gauge it H S Strut undertaker and for my 20 gauge it's Trulock
With the 12ga longbeard#6 it seemed to be tightest with a comp-n-choke. That said I have quite a few guns from 10ga to 20ga that have Indian creek chokes in them.
.660 Jebs Head Hunter out of the mossberg 835
truglo ssx
Indian Creek.
Sumtoy! I called him up and told him what gun I was running and shell I was shooting and he got me dialed in. Couldnt be happier
Rhino is my number one have also threw good patterns with original jellyhead and kicks. My gun did not like Indian creek at all 2 buddies did great with it though
Most 870's like chokes in the.665 range. The SSX, Indian Creek and Sumtoy are a few of the best for the LB 6's
I've been very happy with Jebs
Indian Creek and Sumtoy are in a league of their own right now, and very comparable. What makes Sumtoy second to none is the service, first time I went I shot several different loads and he cut more than 5 or 6 chokes before HE was satisfied. Carried others guns there and the same thing, William will make it as tight as you want it no matter how many chokes he cuts. And for those that sent their guns to get dialed in with shells like Compton, you can tell he's going the extra mile for you. (I don't have a dog in the fight, just know quality people and service)
Indian Creek in both Benelli and Remington , 12 and 20 guage.
Kicks gt 655
The original Jellyheads from Primos always shot good patterns from 870's. I've heard the newer models were not as good.
I shoot Indian Creek. I didn't shoot every choke but several of the popular ones and it worked best. Didn't try Sumtoy.
Indian creek and sumtoy.
12 ga. Bansner Tru Glo SSX. Shoots everything I have run through it exceptionally well.
10ga.......hopefully the Kicks GT .690 I just got ;D
Sumtoy all day in my 870. In fact, I've had my best results in every gun I've tried one with through Sumtoys. I need one for my 20 gauge...I assume it's probably better than the Wright's Swarm I currently run in it.
A close second to the sumtoy in my 870 12 gauge is the old style jellyhead. Just behind it, for me at least, was Indian Creek in third place. Then SSX, then the Remington XX-full, then the Hevi-Shot choke, then the new jellyhead.
The top four were all fairly close, and any of them would kill turkeys at 40 yards. Sumtoy had best numbers, and more importantly, best overall pattern. Absolutely no gaps in the pattern, regardless of load used. Pretty phenomenal.

Remington 870 Rhino 660 Gen 1 all day long
Winchester sx4 Indian Creek 665.
Remington 870 with non-ported H.S. Strut Undertaker choke.
Original Rhino .660 choke SBE2. It's just spectacular. Every load I've put through it shot remarkably. Winchester LB 260+ at 40. Nitro Hevi shot 360ish, Nitro TSS 460+. Hevi 13 7s+ 340+. Love it to death
Indian Creek....Time and time again in different guns it has proved to be the leader. Second would be the Tru Loc SXT, Third would be the original Star Dot
I've got two sumtoys now on for my 12ga and one for my 20ga and I love them
This is my combo out of my 870 Jellyhead max with hevi7's.

For my Browning Gold 12 3.5" no choke even comes close to my Patternmaster code black turkey choke. It shoots longbeards and heavyweights just the same. DEVASTATING :OGturkeyhead:
For me Carlson .665 for my Rem SPS Super Mag Turkey/Predator.
Remington ventilator on my 870

The H.S. Strutt Undertaker 12 gauge extended choke on my Remington 870 with 3" shells has taken many gobblers. I used the Longbeard load for the first time last season and took two toms with them. I did miss one on the move that was only 15 yards away, probably due the tight pattern that these shells throw. Actually, if the birds are within 30 yards, it really doesn't make that much difference what you use as long as you don't miss!
I have a Carson's on my 20 gauge, inexpensive and patterns better than the IC in my benelli m1
SumToy in my sbe2. Very pleased with it
870 20ga favorite overall choke is the carlson long beard choke .568. It literally outshoots my indian creek and 9 other chokes i have. Do not own a sumtoy. My truglo ssx is my favorite for shooting tss but the carlson is a close second. Ive shot countless shells on the pattern board and the carlson long beard choke shoots everything ive shot through it very well often being the best performing choke in a variety of shells.
I have a old 870 12ga with the thumbhole stock. Tried the Rhino for a while. Used a Sumtoy, Jellyhead, Comp-n-Choke, and Jebs
Keep going back to the Comp-n-Choke
My 870 20ga really likes the Sumtoy though

I have a Carlson's Dead Coyote that throws #4 copper-plated lead as tight as I could ever imagine.
Indian creek then Rhino
Just a normal full is what i used last year and nocked one stone dead :fud: :OGani:
I've had my 870 since 90's. Hastings non ported .650, .665, .670. Kick's .655, .665. MAD MAX ported, Primos Jelly Head. Nothing puts more shot in the 10" than Rhino 1st GEN. I found one on eBay, because dude sold the gun. I've never seen another used one and I check once a month.
I also have SumToy .660 I haven't had the chance to check it up against the Rhino. Hoping to do so in the next week.... But I've been saying that since Aug. I have shot it several times. just not at 40 with the hunting load..
835 0riginal .676 stardot
870 20ga .550 Truglow SSX
Stoeger 3020 .568 Long Beard XR
HS Strut Undertaker (non ported) in my SBE 2 12. Remington extended turkey for my 870 20. Both were the first and only chokes I've bought for said guns and have had great results with both. Might upgrade to a sumtoy for my 20 gauge since it is now my go to turkey gun.
With Win Longbeard XR...Carlson's XR.
With Win Supreme #5....Comp-N-Chok XX Full
Sumtoy for 20 ga.
Original jelly head
Sumtoy on my Maxus 12 !!!
