Thanks for sharing that is very interesting. The gentleman was very dedicated in his studies like Lovett Williams in his study of vocalization.
It's also a very good book.

Very neat !! I really enjoyed it.
I have a small pen kept flock of Easterns that I raised but that is on a whole other level...
I am a retired agriculture teacher. One class I taught was wildlife management. I always taught a unit on wild turkey management and we always watched " My life as a turkey." Some of my students contacted Jim and talked to him about his turkey video' We found out that he had moved out west and spent many years working his way into the trust of a wild group of mule deer. He did a documentary on that experience also. When we talked to him last, he was doing the same kind of thing with bighorn sheep. That was about four years ago. It takes a different kind of person to do those kind of things. What an interesting man and the interesting sort of life to live.
Thanks for posting this. Found it very interesting and informative.
Just not understanding how Jim was/is keeping the power turned on. Maybe some kind of grant.
Thanks for sharing.
I've always said if turkey was like human mother they would be on Xanax Prozac and maybe some antipsychotic med just to get through day
