What are your goals for turkey season this year. I want to double with my daughter, did it with my wife last year on her first hunt. I would also like to get my hunting buddies Ryan and Del their first birds in NH. And 10 birds killed with the calls I made this winter. Easy peasy :funnyturkey:
Get my oldest daughter her first bird. Even if it doesn't happen, just looking forward to spending time with her as I know it's short lived as she is turning 14....

Hunt some with my kids, some with friends, and some alone. Maybe kill a bird or two and enjoy what time I get in the field while attempting to make the most of it.
Go turkey hunting and feel some excitement. That's my goal
Have a conversation with a turkey, take my boy a time or two, watch a buddy kill a bird, and maybe kill one or two myself.

Get my granddaughter in the woods and take a bird with my longbow without a blind.
Get my cousin his first bird and of course kill my limit!
Kill one with a 20ga
I want to take my 2 old sons (8&5) on a good gobbling hunt, if I kill a bird that day that will be a bonus!
Get my son his first long bread and have him tag out.
Finish my slam...in doing so I will take turkey no 100.
Mentor some kids, help some friends learn the sport, take my daughters if they have time, one is in college away, take my nephew (he's got 2 birds in 3 hunts w me so he's expecting), basically though just to hear early morning gobbles in the dingy light, watch birds drop off a roost and thank God I get to do it again.
Have fun, don't wind up at the hospital.
I do a lot of mentoring/teaching for Learn to Hunts, Youth Hunts and New to Turkey Hunting and then there's time spent hunting with friends and I get a few on my own. I have a number of sport shows, seminars and events coming up before start of season and have some fun with those too.
MK M GOBL
I'm hoping to kill in at least one new state, and would like to be successful in three. I also hope to call more birds in for various friends and family members this year then I harvest myself.
Through the years I find I put less emphasis on killing though it's still a rush.
Goals would be to get in the woods with my boys and work a few birds. SOAK it
all in when the woods come alive at dawn. Start to research and plan a hunt for merriams out west.

I have a feeling you will witness a couple fall, if this year is anything like the last two.
I hope to get a chance to hunt my two grown sons.try to hunt every day and enjoy the woods and avoid mr. no shoulders.
Make my own nail turkey friction call and take a tom with it.
I would like to get my first turkey. If possible 2 of them but one would quite suffice.
Have fun, kill turkeys. Setting goals takes the fun out of it for me.
Hunt every day possible. Still have a wife come June 2nd.
Have a few smaller goals along the way like trying for a single season slam, first merriams and first rio. Trying a add a few states and get it all on film. But all these "goals" revolve around the original - hunt every day possible.
I want to call a turkey all the way in with one of my Buice trumpets and shoot it with my Parker 20.
Watch my 12 year old son take his first Osceola this spring and guide some guys to their first Merriam's.
Spend more time in the woods.
Make a trip over to hunt with my best friend once a week.
Find something I learned from each hunt regardless of how much time was spent in the woods that particular hunt.
Do a better job of journaling my hunts and taking more pictures for the scrap book.
Get another youngster their first turkey.

To sit down against a tree each day and call to the gun, and kill cleanly, as many Public Land Longbeards as the good Lord will allow me.
This and get my son his first one.
Enjoy time in the woods with my hunting buddies, hear several gobbles and maybe get a bird or 2. Very simple.
Top of the list is getting one with dad this year, been a long time since we've been able to get in the woods together
Hunt as many days as possible with my worn out body.
My goals for the 2019 turkey season are simple.......KILL A GOBBLER!!!
Seriously!! I'm not trying to be a smartass. The last 2 seasons for me have been my worst in 20 years. I've had terrible luck, and the two birds that did come in, I couldn't get shots on.
So I'll consider killing a gobbler a successful season. :fud: :turkey:
My ultimate goals are to:
- Have a good season in terms of gobbling and seeing birds.
- Kill a few gobblers.
- Get my 20 ga. build completed before the season, and kill my first TSS bird.
- Kill birds in states I've never gotten one in before.
- Enjoy a successful season before I have major surgery at the end of the season.
My goal is simple just get out as much as possible and enjoy ever moment like it was a fine bourbon.
Hunt more, work less..... we can dream can't we???
I have 2 goals this season. First, help a friend get his second bird. Second, bust my first Eastern.
I hope to be able to call my Dad in a bird. I would like to kill a globber in at least 2 new states. Hopefully gain a lot more experience this year and in turn gain more knowledge.
My 2019 goal is to get my first turkey! Going on season 3

Thanks! I called in my first hens last year and that was a great experience for a newbie.
Go hunting as many times as I can and have fun. Bubba

First time I had something coming in it was a tom or maybe a jake, it was gobbling so hard all the way in that I got so amped I almost puked. I made a rookie mistake that I knew not to do but did it anyway, turned to see him as he was coming in from behind me, off he went.
1) Kill a gobbler in FL, VA, and WV.
2) Call in a bird for my father-in-law who taught me to turkey hunt and called in my first several birds.
Have a fun and safe season #1. Then try and fill all the tags I can.
I public land in Michigan. We have a group of 6 guys. We are all allowed 1 bird and only have a 7 day season. Our goal is for all of us to fill our tag. In 5 years we have never been able to bag 6 turkeys.
