Title: Benelli SBE3 mossy oak steadygrip stock
Post by: wchadw on January 28, 2019, 02:09:01 PM
I'm kinda looking at a new gun.  Looking at the SBE3 bottomland with steadyshot pistol grip stock in 12.  Anyone have one of these?  I have see online the ones with the "kick off" standard stock shoot way high?   this may not matter since i plan on putting an RMR on it and patterning it based on the RMR point of aim/impact.

Also considering a 20 gauge? want the pistol grip with semi-auto under $2000 that i can mount an RMR

Not sure about the new SBE 3 but I have a 12 SBE 2 setup with a pistol grip.  Im not interested in selling it but I can help a little.

If you want to go with the 12 gauge route you have two options in relation to the SBE 2: (I would assume the senarios below are the same for the SBE 3 since its the same gun but I haven't done much research into it.)

1. Buy a SBE 2 or 3 in realtree camo that it comes in stock and then buy a pistol grip stock off one of the gun part stores.  I think a new SBE 2 will run you about 1600ish with standard stock and then an additional 200ish for the pistol grip stock from a gun part store.

2. Buy one of the super performance SBE 2 or 3 from benelli that has been modified by Rob Roberts custom gun works.  There is a model of the this gun that comes with a pistol grip.  This will run you 2800+ but has a lot of custom gunsmithing extras.

20 Gauge option:  I suggest you go with 20 gauge and shoot TSS.  They say the 20ga is the new 12ga when shooting tss and I can tell you its the truth.  You won't find a pistol grip for the Benelli M2 20 gauge..... they don't offer it.  I have seen people modifying the 12 gauge pistol grip for the 20 gauge though but I haven't looked into it.

Hunting with a M2 20ga is incredible to me.

Hope I helped
