list your 2 best sounding pot calls.
mine are a pat laminate slate over glass and lonzo glass in acrylic pot
I have a few great sounding pots but I really like my Paul Platz Osage glass over slate and my MAC Walnut anodized aluminum. I use a Lyman green dymondwood striker or a Fowler 2-piece wingbone striker
Platz Walnut glass over slate and Roberts Mahoe glass over green slate are my favorites.
Loftis Crystal Screamer and Reynolds Slate/Slate

3" cedar slate over glass i made and a ceramic Pecker wrecker zebrawood pot
Halloran CM, Dawkins aluminum in a plastic pot and a Wynne persimmon slate... whoops, I guess that's 3 ;)
Hally Caller Professional Series walnut slate and a walnut slate over glass of my own making.
dawkins slate in plastic pot
Halloran twisted sister and until I broke it a houndstooth cherry ceramic since then it'd be schaffer mad hen 1 at number two.
Ive done very little with a pot since getting into scratch boxes.

All mine are favorites and the call builder's who i got them from.. I have different one 's for different purposes , soft call, loud and raspy ... i change mine out during the year , but regardless i will always have a slate and ceramic pot in my satchel .. i don't do vest ....
Dawkins stoned aluminum in plastic pot and Lonnie Mabry walnut slate. They just work when I need a different call. I mostly use suction calls and my scratchboxes. I recently got a Lyman snakewood striker that dominates every striker I own. I don't own any Corder, Platz, or Roberts calls but I know they sound amazing and they are great guys in person.
+1 on the Twisted Sister
I don't have a whole lot but Gooserbat High Standard Crystal and a Twisted Sister are my best.

A 3.25" glass/glass in cherry I made, and the Perfection Screamin' Demon II in a corian pot. A very, very close 3rd place photo finish is Tuscarora Mountain Jake Taker slate/glass.
To my ear the very best sounding pot I own is a Dawkins walnut aluminum. To the turkeys it has to be Schafer's Atomic 13.

So jealous of this! I would love to have made one of my favorite calls. I've never made one, but maybe some day!
If you're talking what kills birds for me, then no contest my CODY World Class Slate has been the end of more turkeys than any/all other calls I have owned.
and 2nd would be my SPEC 1 Legend.
MK M GOBL
I have too many to say i have 2 that are better than all my others. I really like my laminated mahoe / zebrawood bronze glass over aluminum and my platz glass over aluminum in zebrawood .

Corder glass in Osage

I have a lot of good ones and this is a very tough question I wouldn't want to only have 2 pots but these 2 are hard to beat a footballer crystal over aluminum in tigerwood and a Mike Yingling cast cactus Titanium over slate
I have so many good ones that I don't think I could pick two favorites, they're all so close. They all see vest time on a rotational basis. Just received some calls from Travis Wyatt (twyatt) that are absolutely going in my vest. A crystal/ glass in a cherry pot and a ceramic/ glass in a Padauk pot gave me a huge smile as well as a slate/ glass in a walnut pot.
Goes without saying that the bar for what goes in my vest is pretty darn high.
The two pots I don't want to go in the woods without.
Brad Roberts Cedar Green Slate
Stumpy Sycamore Ceramic

I have quite a few great sounding glass calls, mostly hand turned beautiful pots.....but if I had to give away every glass call that I own and only keep 2, they are both plastic. 1. A Prairie game calls plastic pot. 9 of my 10 largest birds have fallen to pot calls, of those 9 seven have been from that prairie pot. I don't see them on his website any longer, but I like that call so much that several years ago I bought a spare in case I lose or break that call. I wouldn't take $400 either of them. 2. Don't laugh, but its a $4 call that I bought on clearance at wal mart many years ago, an HS strut lil deuce 2.
Al Hobart Silver Fox aluminum, and Olin Humphries Ceramic on slate laminated black cherry
Tough to narrow down to two:
Clint Corder Osage Glass over Slate - this one will always be in my vest
Brad Roberts Hackberry Green Slate - just got this one a couple of months ago and have not hunted it but it will see vest time this spring
Hollaran medal mouth for locating
Lonnie sneeds raspy boss hen for working him in .
I would have to say eddie wynne persimmon slate and a Jimmy Schaffer blue mahoe crystal over glass
I think if I had to choose two pots to take with me right this second it would be a Lonzo glass and a Gary Anderson green slate.
Parks Gobbler call and MAC cherry slate
My micarta aluminum over glass and micarta slate over aluminum.
The two that will surely be with me are ... MAC walnut / green slate and Halloran Crystal Mistress

My micarta aluminum over glass and micarta slate over aluminum.
You make me one of those Bill and I promise it will be one of my favorites also.Lol
My two favorites are my Lonnie Mabry walnut slate and my Lights Out shedua aluminum.
Mine would probably be a Schaffer blue mahoe/cherry/red heart crystal over a cherry sound board and the other would be a tie between the Twisted Sister and Atomic 13. That could change if you ask me tomorrow. I have several others that are right there close to the top.
Would have to be the Halloran's Crystal Mistress and a Lonzo's Crystal/glass in cocabola pot
I'm bias but my Gooserbat High Standard Crystal is a rock star.
Yingling cast copper, crystal mistress

I have no reason to be biased and put your call on my list. I do have other great sounding calls as well, but for whatever reason, when I use the High Standard Crystal (that I won on here from you by the way) gobblers just simply seem to die.

I can't seem to find one that tops this Brad Roberts green slate.
These two are outstanding calls.

Hmmm, tough one.
If I had to pick 2 then the Twisted sister and Footballer persimmon slate.

Stumpy ceramic
Stumpy's Ceramic in a sycamore pot is the best sounding pot call I've ever run. Hands down.

That's actually a project that I'm going to be working on over the next couple of weeks. I'm probably going to attach them to the top of the FB page.
Thanks I am sure I will like it

I would have to 2nd the post on the Stumpy Ceramic in a sycamore pot, one of the easiest calls to play that I have ever put in my hand. Also, not really a "pot" call but I would definitely consider one of Marlin Watkins coaxer friction calls, it is a sweet soft talker.
My vote for a ceramic is
Stumpy also , great call easy to play
Jimmy Schaffer sapele aluminum over aluminum
Brad Roberts poplar bronze glass over aluminum
Cody Woodsman DD Slate
Halloran Twisted Sister
Roberts green slate cherry/crystal mistress
Matt van cise glass and Lonnie mabry slate. Paul durham slate really close 3rd.

That's a tough one...........
I would say Roberts Bronzed Glass and Dawkins Aluminum.

:agreed: it's very difficult the night before determining what is going in my satchel or vest. A lot of good call makers out there.
Lonnie Sneeds Outlaw Hen and Hot Hen
Switching it up a bit , 2 that will be first up this year are stumpy ceramic in blue mahoe and footballer green slate in sassafras.
My two favorites are my MAC walnut green slate and Schaeffer blue mahoe crystal/glass
Daybreak Ceramic, Hollaran Metal Mouth II.
