Killed this bird in SD a few weeks ago and we took a bunch of pics with calls and I had a few of my strikers along of course, so I set them up for a photo.

That's a great photo and some really nice looking strikers!
Every striker is a new call . You have a lot of different calls.

Do you really carry that many strikers with you in the woods? Must be hard decision which one to use or do you just reach in your pocket and do pot luck pick? LOL

I carry 4 strikers I bring 20-25 calls with when I go out of State I will rotate what I take to the field, and then I enjoy sitting around the table at camp passing calls around and playing them.
I think that what strikers are for, carry a bunch with ya, play 'em show 'em off and when it is time..take that Ol' Tom to a new level of being fooled...pappy

Agreed. I carry 6 strikers and 4 pots, so I have 24 different calls to throw at him plus whatever diaphragms I carry as well. Can't ever be too prepared...
i have 5 different pot calls and 11 different strikers in my vest.
I normally carry at least four pots and two strikers per pot. My lease is about five hour drive, so I don't leave much at home. One call will be slate/glass, glass/slate, glass/wood, and aluminum/glass. Each call will have at least two strikers selected for that call. This allows me a multitude of selections.
I also carry a couple box calls and a wingbone. I also carry a tube call which I am still trying to master. Does anyone know how to blow a tube call? I could surely use some help.
I also carry a couple locator calls. Don't use them very much.
In south Texas, the wind is always blowing and you need something that will cut the wind.
With all of the other necessities, I have a full vest.
Most of the time, I need it all to fool that wise old tom. In fact, sometimes it is not enough.
Bill
i'm with you on the tube call except i dont even carry mine. thats how bad i am on it. i have a LONG way to go with it before it makes it to the woods!
I'm just chiming in to say that Neal's strikers are my favorite.
