Title: Turkey Trot Acres Fall hunt

Hunted last week at Turkey Trot Acres. Pete and Sherry run a top notch lodge. Can't say enough how much fun I had. Already booked for next year and plan to hunt this every year if I can. Great lodge, great food and welcoming place. Hunted with a group of fantastic hunters. Scott Bashore guided me and a super nice guy. Called in birds within minutes of setting up and got me a nice fall hen. He's going to make me a call from the wings.

Pete and Sherry made a rain out on Saturday a lot of fun with home made pizzas. Spent the afternoon talking calls with Scott and Marlin Watkins. Hopefully I picked up a fraction of knowledge from them but mainly showed how much there was to learn.
This was a bucket list hunt for me. I've always wanted to hunt with the dogs. I had a great time.

Sounds like a great hunt, to be with Marlin and Basehore on a hunt, you can't have it better. And the knowledge they have, they probably forgot more than you or I know. Great to hear you enjoyed it. Only thing that would add to it would be to have a bourbon around the fireplace talking turkey with them.....
