Title: WTB Old padded backpack straps.
Post by: Sir-diealot on October 24, 2018, 08:16:12 PM
I am looking to find some old padded backpack or over the shoulder fanny pack straps to help carry this.  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AVUIZ4W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&th=1

I had to buy it because since I fell on my shoulder that was most recently operated on I can't reliably keep the front of a gun up and it was the best I could find. The carry strap that comes with it is just one strap and not at all padded and I am looking to try to build something to help me carry it. It was quite a bit for me and I don't want to leave it in the blind each night so I want to try to build some kind of carry strap that would go over each shoulder and be easy for transportation. If anybody has any old beat up backpack that they are going to throw out anyway I would be interested in buying the padded shoulder straps and hardware from them. I can't pay until the third as that is when I get paid but I would like to get things set up ahead of time so I can work it into the budget. Thank you for any help given.

Did you look at cheap shotgun/rifle slings?

One of the many uses for decoy cord, already camo, hoists your bow up a tree stand, make shift gun sling when you forget yours, ties down gear and fixes all kinds of stuff ,lol
Tough as all getout too!

I do agree it is good for all those uses but it would be even thinner than the strap that came with it and I do not feel it would be very comfortable to carry because of that. I do thank you for the suggestion though.

Look on sportsman's guide warehouse. Type in a.l.i.c.e backpack straps I think that may be what your looking for. Military guys on here will know what i'm talking about. I use them on my climbers.

I was able to find the entire pack but not the straps alone. I did however find these and I think they will be my best bet though I am going to check Amazon as I get free shipping with Amazon Prim. https://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/x-stand-tree-stand-backpack-straps?a=1887539 Thank you for the suggestion.
