Had to say goodbye to a dear old friend today. Had to take my 15 year old Doberman and have him put to sleep this afternoon. He celebrated his 15th birthday last Monday, that's really old for a Dobe. He had a good day today too. He loved sweet stuff and his bed. Not sure which he loved more but he got to eat sweet stuff all day in bed today. R.I.P. Bodacious Red Bruin, aka BoBo. We're going to miss you dearly!!!!

And here is a picture of him and his friend Bucky who used to come see him daily.

Sorry to hear this, I know this will be coming sooner than I think with our dog, she is somewhere between 9-11 years old and I am beginning to see a change in her. Fist pet I have had in 20 some odd years. Never had to put one to sleep but saw some die in ways I won't share here. My heart goes out to you and your family. This is my Misty.
Looks like Misty is living he good life. Good job, take good care of her.
Heart goes out to you, brother........... He was one handsome dude !!!
We had to put one of our Rotts down when bone cancer ate her up. Best thing to do for the dog, but SUCKS for the family.
Worst ting I've ever had to do. Sorry for your loss
Ronnie - I'm truly sorry to hear this, and I know how large the hole in your home and family feels right now. We lost our dog who was just shy of 18 years and it was devastating.
So sorry for your loss... prayers .... I hate this for you and your family...
Sorry to hear of your loss. Putting a dog down is the hardest thing in the world. My lab died last year of natural causes under the computer table, his favorite place to lay down. I know and feel your pain
So sorry about your loss. Sounds like he had a very special last day. Friends to the end.
So Sorry!
Condolences man. Hurts real bad. But then again, it should. I`m convicted in the belief that the Good Lord gave man the dog to show us what pure, uncomplicated, love looks like. All dogs go to heaven.
Thanks everybody. Definitely not the same around here without Bobo.
If all dogs do indeed go to heaven, I hope my neighbors are dog people when I show up. Because I have a crew waiting for me for sure. Tyke, Blacky, Pooch, Rowdy, Prince, Bandit, Baby, Bowser, Bama, Strut, Lexie (Bo's Mom), Lugar (Bo's Dad), and now Bodacious. I also hope Blue Buffalo is cheaper in heaven. Miss and love you all.

Yep, the girlfriend and Misty get before I get. Wish I could give both more.

Yes sir! That`s what we`re here for.
Im sorry for the loss. I know our pets are just like family.
sorry buddy, always hard when you lose a family member.
Sorry to hear this Ronnie. I've been there. It's never easy. Pets bring us so much happiness and love in their lives, so it hurts us when they go. Sorry brother. :'(
Sorry to hear of your loss, that is tough.
The good ones never last long enough. Lost a great hunting dog a few years ago. But, more than that, he was a great companion. Sorry for the loss bud.

Don't cry because it's over,,,,, Smile because it happened. so sorry for the lost of your pet..
Man , sorry to hear your loss , losing a good dog like that can be a tough thing to get over , I'm still upset over my dog last summer
Man best friend ...couldn't be a truer saying
Our dogs, unconditional love they give us, and ask nothing in return accept our attention at times. They live to please us. We really don't realize what they mean to us until we find the hole they leave in our lives when they are gone. Their lives are always too short. We say we can't have another one like that until the next fills their paws. Sorry to hear, they fill our lives with love......
Sorry to hear that Ronnie. Sounds like he lived well.
So sorry for your loss. It just doesn't ever get any easier. I owned a Pet Sitting service for 8 years called Pet Nanas. I fostered 343 puppies before retiring. Animals were and still is a HUGE part of my life. As anyone that knows me will tell you. I love animals more than most people. Looking forward to meeting all of my past pets at the Rainbow Bridge. I am truly sorry for your loss. Dogs are part of the family and truly are our best friends. I have been through this myself more times than I like to remember and it never gets any easier.
I'm so sorry Ronnie, super tough stuff.
It makes grown men cry.
Greg
So sorry for your loss. He sure is a beautiful dog.
Sorry for your loss.
We sure get to love our pets! I work in health care and I'm always struck by the way we treat our pets with more humanity than people sometimes.
When it's my time to go I hope I get to eat sweets in bed all day then go for a quick car ride.

I`ve spent 30 years in healthcare myself and know what you mean. Having said that though, unfortunately, in my 70 years on the planet I`ve met some people ( precious few, thank goodness ) that have led me to understand why that is.
Sorry for your lost. Thoughts and prayers are with you

Man that's rough and the worst thing about having pets as companions. He was a beauty!
Sorry for your loss. I had to do the same thing a few years ago. It was really a tough decision to make.

She is a Cockapoo. Cocker Spaniel and Standard Poodle mix. She can be a handful but she loves everybody. She was not well trained by her first owners but she has improved greatly since my girlfriend and I got her.
She reminds me of our furry bundle of joy lilly. Shes a king chrles spaniel

Looked them up, beautiful breed with lovely markings. Misty is quite large for her breed from what I have read, not fat at all just large, about 31-34 lbs. and from what I have read most of her breed are normally 12 – 24 lbs. If you want to talk further about them lets talk in the inbox, I kinda feel bad bringing this thread up, I don't want to make Guesswho feel bad missing his dog if you know what I mean.
It's tough buddy. I've had dogs all my life at one point 14 of em. Last year two died within a week. It's hard every time. Sorry for your loss
