Title: Fall Turkey Hunting Looks Good For New York this October.
Post by: quavers59 on September 07, 2018, 03:26:02 PM
I have had up to 15 Different Wild Turkeys on my front Lawn this Summer eating the birdseed, I give them. My Brother in Law has a flock that visits his lawn regularly. I saw a good 20 Turkeys on State Land last weekend.   I live in Orange County- just 52 miles from NYC. Looking forward to the 3rd week in October!!

My Brother in Law also has a few big Gobblers that visit his Lawn a few days a week. They are safe however as where he is and the same with me is Zoned Residential--No Hunting. Out Hiking today and there is good sign on another State area, I have my eye on. I am looking forward to hopefully busting Birds in every direction at a full run. This Old Man River can still run a bit-LOL.

With the warm dry weather we had in most areas this spring I expect to see a fair number of birds. I will hunt the northern zone sometime the first week of October.
