Just want to see everyones calls.
Got a bunch of new calls to try this year.
I can't get you pictures till monday.
My favorite calls have been a K&H Ol Yeller, a Lohman Crystal Thunder dome, and a Harmonden Calls Obsidian.
All with my favorite hollow Black Locust striker.
Ol Yeller and Silver Queen by K&H sometimes carry one of their slates or glass. Usually carry a striker kit with a couple of wood tips and a plexiglas or Lucite tipped striker for wet weather. Got my K&H calls back when they still made then in KY.
I retired my green plastic ol yeller.
I found some gold plastic ones last year. I bought three.
I will post some pics up Monday also.......I have a bunch of favorites!!!! :chucknorris:
I have a curly maple/purpleheart glass pot from Andy Kaiser that is always with me. However, Scott has made me an aluminum pot and a cherry glass that I believe are gonna be killers, along with my new gibson!
I definitely can't pick just one. I've got a Scott's Cutter long box made by Jack Scott from cedar, walnut, and birch that I love, and just yesterday got a short box from Russell Beard made of walnut and poplar that sounds great too. For pot calls, my David Halloran aluminum call is my favorite for now, and it sounds best with a purpleheart/walnut striker I got from Mr. Scott as well. I got a call from BigMick on here last year that's aluminum over slate and this striker really livens this call up as well, and my Tom's Teaser glass sounds really good with the striker I got from Steve. My favorite pot may change in the next few weeks as I've got a custom crystal over slate double sider coming from David Halloran along with a turned Dymondwood striker. And for mouth calls, you can't beat Tom's Teasers Redneck Hen in my opinion
Pretty much, I can't choose here haha, I love all of the calls I've got and will use every single one this season
I am big on mouth calls, I like the hands free concept. I have a few woodhaven mouth calls ans a couple a teamate made me last year that sound great...but I do carry a wet-hen box, a power crystal, and an assortment of diaphram calls.
Captain Scotts cherry glass call was used to bag my tom last year. Great call Scoot
Will needs to post up pictures of the call he picked up this weekend, I ran it on Friday would've bought it had he not already paid for it
Here is what I'll be toting this year. My coffee over walnut Gibson, my canary slate, my cherry glass, my cane yelper, and my brass liar trumpet. Everyone of these calls put birds in the bag last year.

My go to call to get a bird to gobble when the woods have been quiet is my Doug Camp "Screamin Hen" long box. If I only had to take one call to the woods it would be a Green Goofy Bat Wing Diaphragm by Rut n Strut
Here is the call JGilbert was talking about. It is made by Tim Sanford of Rut n Strut game calls. It is SWEET!!!!

Here are the calls I will be carrying to the brush on opening day.

I will carry "Cane Creek Calls" glass and slate.(various strikers)
A 20 year old "Soutland Call" Boat paddle.
A "Close Calls Osceola Short Box"
A "Knight N Hale widowmaker" tube call"( i encourage everyone I speak to get and use a tube call, the sound is unique and can get one to gobble when nothing else will) Plus they are cheap and easy to use.
I use mouth calls most of the time, My buddy calls for a company and when he brings their mouth call presses home, he lets me come over and make my own. So most of the calls above rarely leave my vest.
