Title: Federal Heavy weight 7s
Post by: HILBY72 on June 12, 2018, 06:24:37 AM
I just picked up 4 boxes of 3" 12 Gauge 1 5/8 oz 7s at Rogers, I was wondering if anyone uses these out of a Winchester 1300 and what choke your using.  If anyone is interested they had them listed on their website from $9.99 to $22.00 a box in 20 to 10 gauge. There's only 6 shot left in 20 Gauge. Thanks for any input

Your welcome....Right now I'm shooting the Carlson's Long beard choke which I believe with out looking is .660 but it's ported.

I can not speak for the Winchester, But I have a Truelock choke for every turkey gun I have. The Federal Heviweight #7's pattern very well with them. My 3" guns would put 180 in the 10@40, and my 3.5" guns would do 210 in the 10.  Truelock builds a choke for the Federal Heviweight shot, and if you are not happy with the choke you can return it.
