Found this in a large piece of rock on a property we hunt here in georgia. All I could make out was Washington, survey, and the rest is worn away. Also looks like it says caution. It was definitely placed in that rock so it could never be removed. just curious if you guys know what it is used for..

Geological survey marker. I've found them quite often. This is better than I can put together...

its a us geological survey tag...they are permanent and are a fun geocache item...go to geocaching.com and search for them

That is pretty cool. I actually just signed up for a account and there are hundreds of the items in my area. I may just have to search some of them out! Thanks for sharing!
