Started this guy with my green slate over glass around 9am. 9:05 he was closing some distance. I put the slate down and put in one of my mouth calls and readied the gun 9:10 I was filling out my tag. Love it when they cooperate!
Here is another pic.
Not much Gobbling on the Public Lands in Orange County, NY. I usually hear just 1 gobble and thats it for the day. Been like that for over 1 week now. Tomorrow, I have a 4am-1 1/2 mile walk in. Good just to be trying.
Congrats!
Way 2 go. Congrats!!

Don't give up! Gobblers were henned up all season where I hunt. They would gobble off the limb, and a few times on the ground, then go quiet. Hens are getting scarce now, next week should be real good!
Congrats on the bird,
They've been getting fired up in Greene County. My buddy has called a bird to the gun every morning this week since Tuesday and they've all pretty much ran in. Headed up tonight after work to hunt with him.
Congratulations. Hope to get out this weekend if not raining to bad.
Congrats!
Awesome good gobbler you got there.

Congrats. Sullivan county was awful on public and private land alike. I am planning to back up during the week and hope to have a better experience and outcome. Congrats again.
