Now that the demand has slowed Apex has most of the popular TSS loads available on their website, including the 20 gauge 3" #9's.

I think I saw that Macks had a sale on it last week.
They're mighty proud of that stuff - makes the Federal loads seem like a bargain! I suspect they don't do quite the volume Federal does so not the same economies of scale.
It's interesting tome that there is enough volume of mega-premium ammo purchased for turkey hunting to keep a small business alive. Hope they have a good run.
And I thought that $14.00 for 10 was expensive?! Wow
I just can't find a reason to stop shooting longbeards and Heavyweight #7s in my 20. Guess I'll have to make a change when I run out of the hws.
I do my own quality control and do not have to worry about mistakes from rushing to get supply out. If I was going to shoot factory TSS it would be Federals most likely as I feel more comfortable with them.

They are spendy... :begging:
Thanks for the heads up..... but it won't help most people they have completely forgot what a turkey is by now with most seasons ended. They won't worry about turkeys or shells for turkeys until about late February or March just in time to find out the dealers are out so they can complain about lack of TSS shells and pay ridiculous prices for what they can find. It's becoming a yearly tradition that I think they would all miss if it was gone lol.
I have reminders set for June:)

I agree, but like anything sometimes money is tight for a lot of people , so they have to put priorities in place... shop as money becomes available ...even if this means paying a little more... but i do agree with you it's a yearly tradition...
Quite frankly I enjoy the entertainment the panic provides.

I'm guessing after this year getting Federal TSS won't be a problem

I agree.. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Winchester enter the TSS game by spring..
I'm going to get a box of federal tss 3" 9's to try in my daughter's 20 gauge. The heavyweight 7's have a heck of a kick to them. Don't know if it's the shell or the gun, but I want to see if the tss will be a better pattern anyway.

Yep after turkey season it's time to go out and get some food at a restaurant that doesn't have a drive through .
And a beer that doesn't come in a 30 pack box with camouflage on it , something like a Lenny, blue moon or Sam adams. Lol
