i need some help, I am exploring the custom shot gun option. I have not found a good website... please some people that make custom shot guns ... thanks for any help
What do you mean by custom? Like fitted for hand carved stock or camo'd with a red dot put on? One is custom. The other is just put together. You can do that yourself.
What do you want done? My custom gun has had trigger, and barrel work.....
What are you looking to do?
I would personally say stay away from lengthen the forcing cone! Polishing the barrel is good. :)
Good luck!

I second that about the forcing cone!
The rabbit hole is as deep as your pockets. You can go to Belgium and or Italy and they will measure you to put the gun together just for you, with any engraving you need. My relative has a matching pair from Perazzi, nothing too fancy but built tailored to him. IIRC the bill came to $50 and it took them about 6 months to complete. If you want absolutely best engravers the wait time will be 2+ years and the tag an easily get over $100.
Do let me know if you need more specifics on custom shops, I will share what I know.
If you're looking to customize your turkey rig just tear it down and send the parts you want modified to Rob Roberts. Trigger and barrel work just makes them so much better imo..
My custom work involved cerakote and dipping the stock and forearm. Also had everything drilled and tapped for a sling. Here is a before and after pic.

Have you ever had a forcing cone lengthened? What didn't you like about it?
I have alot of guns with lengthened cones. I have no issues. Theoretically is supposed to tighten your center of your pattern.
nice good looking gun
I had an 870 21" barrel. Magna Ported and forcing cone lengthen. My patterns did NOT improve, matter of fact went down hill. Also the porting made my ears ring for 15 minutes when I shot a Turkey. So I got rid of that barrel. Regular 21" great patterns.
I also shot Nitro custom shells..... Says on there site DO NOT lengthen forcing cone.....
Good luck.
That is a very fine looking shotgun lunghit.
Had my gunsmith team do some work to my Rem 11-87 turkey gun better than 20 years ago, "custom" work was camo dip, cantilever scope bbl, scope, choke and stock. They also back bored and lengthened forcing cone and polished barrel. Only thing I have changed is the stock as of late, went to a ShurShot.
MK M GOBL
Angleport did my work on my sx2 turkey gun. Cone, ports, trigger, polish. And i shot nitros through a rhino tube. Shot them great. I believe my Berettas and benellis came lenghtened.
I've had one done by angle port/ ballistic specialties and one by Rob Roberts. They both pattern great. The right choke and ammo combo is still important with barrel work.
