It has been a crazy season here in Southern WV, birds just not been talking where I am hunting. I have saw a few, but just not responding. Well it all came together this morning at 7:45, he only gobbled twice before coming into 30 yards. He was a shade over 20 pounds, 9.5" beard, spurs were 1.25" and 7/8" long (broke off). Beautiful morning, very thankful for this beautiful bird.....
Very nice, congrats

congradulations on the mountain bird. hunting Mercer county myself. filled one tag so far. been a tough year. seems like it went from a mid January look to a late May look in the last 24 hours. hoping the weather is good this coming week, I'd sure like to fill that last tag.
best afield all
Good job!
