Took a nice 23 lb gobbler late morning yesterday on the National Forest. Had several hollering back along a creek bottom and finally got him around 10:45. Just under 10" beard and 1 1/8" spurs. Fooled him w a cane yelper made by Kevin Rouse, a member on here. This bird loved the yelp! Double and triple gobbling right back when I cut him off with it. First time I used that call in the woods, but won't be the last! And I got him with the old Winchester model 120 that I had CNC convert the slug barrel, running their .660 choke. Check the sling too Anobody custom.....thanks OG what a great group! (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180428/36e4c52aede991202b1260c917ea8b44.jpg)

Congratulations and you got him with a cool call and cool old gun. Alright.
Thanks I got that call off NWTF call contest auction. I've been over using pot calls for years and trying some other call types. Had the Winchester since I was a teenager but it's a different gun now. Only shot squirrels, clays and a few deer w it way back. Just trying something different and it clicked ????
