Title: I only have 2 shells, should I sight in?
Post by: 10point on April 19, 2018, 10:53:48 AM
Our season starts next week and I thought I had more ammo but I've only got 2. I'm shooting a mossberg 20 gauge using Hevi 13 #7s. It appears I waited to long and no one has any in stock. Should I just go hunting or should I check it using a different type of shell? I lost shot it when I shot a turkey last year.

Test it at 20 yards with a cheap field load that is similar in FPS, 100 fps will not make much difference.

x2 what davisd9 said if you dont get the shells in time...Id have them express mail your shells or you might end up being a Barney Fife. If you get them in time pattern with the shells your going to use for hunting..
