Well we were all set up and ready to go well before turkey talk time and did not hear much. We heard three different birds and the closes one was a longggggggggg ways off. We sat calling for a few hours and nothing. We drove around and saw nothing. We finally went for a walk and still nothing. After a while, we put the guns away and came home. My buddy has to watch his little girl in the school play. We are going out again this afternoon, but so far, we have seen very little movement. The best part is that my dad and buddy finally got to meet and are hitting it off and having a blast. They both said it does not matter if we get one, we are having a blast and made a new friend out of the deal. Wish us luck for later.
Good luck, Wisconsinteacher.
It's always good to meet someone new. Especially someone who shares a common passion
Good luck WI Teacher.

Go get em! :anim_25:
Well we did make it back out this afternoon. I got a hen to yelp back to me then a tom gobbled next to her. I got him to gobble 5 more times but each time, the hen must have been going away. We are going back to where we heard them. It is going to be raining so we are going to give it a go.
Keep your head up.. Sooner or later he gonna get lonely and come in for a date. Stay after em. Good luck.

Good luck and keep at it!
Well we just got back. We heard 4 gobbles. 3 were at 5:45 then nothing. They were a ways off. About an hour later, I called 2 hens into 8 yards. Then at 7:15, we heard a gobble 200 yards away. I called but nothing came in. From here, I am cutting my buddy loose and I am heading down to my parents house for Easter. Dad's tag is good for there also, so we are going to hunt there for the next two days.
I hope you get one , however even if you dont get a bird a new friend is a great score
