I really don't like to buy a new product when it first comes out.  I am planning on putting it on my AR15

Good luck with it.   Nikon usually makes nice stuff.  The extra intensity settings are nice to have, which is why I like the Vortex over the Burris(although I have a Ff3, wish I had gotten the Vortex)

Hopefully it has more elevation and windage adjustment than the Burris as well.

I too have several Burris FFIII.  One on Rem 870 12ga and one on a Rem 1187 20ga
