It was a cold 23 degrees when we started off our Illinois youth season day. After 2 hrs of calling back and fourth with hens and calling one of the 2 toms in 3 different times but just not presenting a shot that my boy would take, he finally came in at the right spot at 10:00. 22lb 2ounce, 3/4" spurs, 10" beard, a good 2 yr old bird.

Congrats! Fine looking bird for a fine looking young hunter! I drew season 2 Embarras and season 4 Pope. Gonna be heading out Saturday for Lwtenceville. Lord willing, tag out in a couple days then head to Kentucky for a few.
