Well the day started a cold one here in TN. Me and a buddy hit some public land. But he had be out of the woods by 830. Carried him back to his truck and got some Hardee's and killed some time. Got back to the woods about 930. Found myself nestled on a nice little rise in a hardwoods bottom. Called up a hen and at about 12 o clock decided to call one last time before leaving. A gobble cut off my yells at about 150 yards.. he got fired up and before I knew it there he was.. and then I missed. I think I wanted to cry worse then when my ex girlfriend of 3 years broke up with me. But I decided to keep at it. And finally around 5 o clock found another bird that wanted to play. Didn't miss this time and he was flopping in under 20 minutes. What I thought was a double beard actually has a third section but it's only .5-.75" long. Nice bird. I got one Thursday evening about 6:00 in the evening. It has been cold here in Tn. Weird weather but, maybe it'll straighten up. Supposed to rain this weekend though,
Great job bro, Congrats on the nice bird
