Her second hunt ever and my 10yr old daughter Kai scores her first bird. Yesterday was the youth opener and we had 30 degrees, 20mph winds and sleet. She hung in for three hours as we had a subordinate bird skirt our decoys. He put on a show though so she had fun. This morning was clear and cold. Birds started sounding off about 6:15. I let out a few soft tree yelps and clucks with my trumpet and shut up. Two bully two year olds pitched down into field early. Kai sent them a few yelps on a Mike Longnecker call that I won this year on a raffle here. That got their attention and they saw the Funky Chicken and our breeder hen. The rest was history. 410 smoked him at 17 yards. She kept her cool better than me LOL. Amazing hunt. Safe to say she is hooked!!

Best memory brother my daughter got her first last year when she was 10. I was shaking like a leaf, and she was cool as a cucumber, lol. Congrats to you both ????????????
