We made it back Monday night from north Kansas. We faced bad conditions Saturday morning, high winds and bite cold. Sunday it warmed up to the 60's and boy did the birds start gobbling ! Out of a group of 6 hunters we bagged 7 birds. Tagged out in 2 states, what a season ! I got my 1st 4 longbeards ever this season. Out of the 7 birds we killed 2 had beards of 11 inches, one 10.5 inches, one jake, and 3 around 9 inches. Everybody in our group had the opportunity at taking 2 birds but we had some bad luck, but that's turkey hunting. I'm sorry for the bad pics they were taken with my cell phone. I think we got a couple of rio / eastern hybrids. I noticed the white tips on the fans last night. Wish I had more pics from the trip to post but i never got the rest from my buddy yet.
