Why's everyone so quiet? It's about time to see some dead birds.

You gotta see one before you kill one before you can post pics of a dead one. ::) Sadly, my sorry season from last year picked right up where it left off. I still have some hunting left to go though. Come on guys, let see some dead bird pics!! :fud: :turkey: :turkey: :turkey:

My season starts the 14th.  I'm off the first week.  Man it's still cold! We had snow last week that finally melted, and now they're calling for 3-5 inches Saturday.  This is one of the coldest starts to a spring I can ever remember.  The birds are still kind of flocked up and I'm not really hearing any gobbling.  I saw one strutter about two weeks ago.  The first week is going to be a challenge.

Hardly any greenup is going to make for some tough setups.  Only plus is you can see the snowball and fan a mile away. My experiences in cold starts like this our multuple gobblers coming in together, often silently. We'll see.

0 green here, just heard the first bird of the year today, usually they're already at peak gobbling by now, late spring means late birds. Pretty sure it's gonna be an awesome year here.

Winter has finally arrived in California. We had like three rainy days in Dec January and the driest February on record. March rained and stormed and April is getting hammered. Headed to Florida Tuesday of next week to meet up w Rut.  Then around the 20-21 going to stop in Iowa on the way back to Idaho to try for an Eastern. I'm ready to see some dead birds too.  Got a feeling this year will be late!

In 5 days of hunting I have seen 3 nice gobblers...but none closer than about 80 yards. I will be back out in the morning.
