Title: How bout some recipes?
Post by: spitndrum on April 20, 2011, 04:31:18 PM
My wife was asking me how she is supposed to fix my turkey that I have killed, i told her can't go wrong throwing it in the frying pan.

What are some of your recipes?

You'll find a bunch of recipes in the recipe section. My favorite is Catdaddys Backstrap.

Clean all the fat off the breast, cut the tendon out of the tender loin, cut the breast into strips or nuggets, sprinkle cajun seasoning, beat a couple eggs, dip the meat in the beaten eggs, flour, and deep fry.  It's the best way I've found, but it's good other ways as well.

Baked in a marinade with a pile of veggies aint bad.  Smoked aint too shabby either.

Be sure not to cook it too long, even when frying, or it will be very dry.

Frying is always good.

My wife makes good turkey and noodles out of 'em, too.

The other night, I cut some breast meat into small chunks, marinated them in cheap (i.e. lots of oil) Italian dressing overnight, wrapped 'em in bacon, and grilled them over indirect heat and apple wood.  Mmmm....drank more beers than I'd planned in the process, too.  :)
