I had used a few  3 1/2" #6's.   They are a very good shell.

Can't get em anymore, so...................     Still have several boxes left.

Like a lot of loads. I know Just like Federal Hw7 recently and others. The point of stocking up on what works good for you.

I'm pretty well stocked up on the Federal Heavy 7 20 gauge.

The Supreme Elites................. I have enough to shoot a bunch of birds.  But if I go to start fine tuning a sight in..........it would eat up a couple season's worth.  So there they sit.  I'm shooting Longbeard XR's now.  Hopefully it'll be a while before that rug gets pulled out from under our feet.

I don't think the elites are sold anymore unless they just renamed them. They were the best shell made until longbeards came along. Longbeards are about half the price of what I was paying for elites and the longbeards pattern much better out of my old winchester 120 pump.

Just picked up 30 rounds of the 3" . Have 16 of 2 3/4" 6's from a while back before the elite was added.
Killed turkey good.  Have any recommendations for chokes ? 870 or beretta.

The Supreme Elites are being brought back, but mainly in waterfowl loading with modest payloads at 1450 fps velocities  from what I've seen.  It's a bismuth and nickel type pellet if I remember correctly.  About as dense as lead, but not as hard  steel.

I used the 3" # 5 with great success out of my Win1300. Only have 1 shell left switched to Longbeard.

Easily my favorite load I've ever shot! I will continue to use them hopefully for a long time. They are the reason I haven't switched to TSS.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180331/218444065333a5024319025ee4ef3077.jpg)

I still have 2 boxes but haven't carried the 12 ga in about 3 seasons since I switched to the 20 and Fed Hvywt. I have a great old bottomland gun that's all I've shot out of it since that load came out. Wish they still made it.

Had probably 20 boxes each of the 3.5" and 3" 6s, but sold most of it off after they discontinued it.  Now I wish I hadn't. Stuff was pure turkey death.

my 870 SM loved those and an I.C 665. One thing I do remember about those loads is you better use a mouth guard, they kicked so hard they'd knock your fillings out , I let my buddy shoot one outta his 835 one day he ain't talked to me since, not sure if he was that mad or it broke his jaw and he just couldn't talk.

If you would look closer you would see the 16% later pellets and bag of scratch for the 100+ chickens I have in the back yard. Check out my avatar pic, that's not a parakeet.

I was looking more at the innovative, cutting edge turtle blind...............    Hahahaha !!!!

That's right up there with some of Guesswho's turkey huntin' products.  You might wanna see if he's interested in buying the rights to that.

It's a prototype! Lol He was in a hardwood bottom with 6 hens and 3 jakes.  Nothing I threw at him would break him away. So I jumped in the branch and put the ol creek sneak on him.

maybe they will incorporate the longbeard technology into the new high density rounds? The new ones are a bismuth type shot I believe?

I scored a bunch of the old stuff in goose loads, got a case of it for like 22 dollars per box, it's pure death on honkers!

I just found these today in my house. Full box, 12GA, #4, 2oz.  These must be at least 20-25 years old..maybe more?  I figure with the absurd prices of anything original tree bark or green leaf.. these should be worth about $800.00 in a few more years!

I've been shooting the 3.5" #6 elites for several years, was lucky to have got a decent heads up when they were discontinued and stocked up. I'm still good for several years. Really a shame they stopped making them as they are one deadly shell. My dad and son also shoot them but in 3". They have an ok supply each. Everyone should be good for 5 + years.

Like has been stated maybe they will bring out a longbeard HD.
