I finished up my first pot call. I bought a kit off Ebay and i have a few coming from Brookside. I thought i try my hand at it before i dove in head first lol. I don't know how to post pics. But here's a Youtube of me playing it. I really enjoyed putting it together. And i want to say thanks to so many who posted their experiences it helped so much.
Can't wait to try her out in the turkey woods.

Sounds real good. Great Job!!
That is a good 1st one. Good job, you will bring a bird in with that. I think you should make a nice scratch box to go with that.
Nice...whats the specs???
Pot, surface and soundboard?
That will make that bird you shoot extra special this season!
Nice!

Its a 3.5" walnut pot gray slate over glass. The striker has a walnut top not sure but it looks like maple striker its a very light wood. I added a 1" piece of carbon arrow to the tip. I didnt like how it sounded lol. And i didnt like the white wood. I guess i could have stained it. But I wrapped it with Rattlesnake skin instead. I used to do that to my arrows when i was into trad bows :). Don't know how that will affect it but it looks cool. Its all about playing around anyway right. Besides that walnut maple top striker i have sounds killer :).
I hope to call one in with it. Ive been Turkey hunting for every bit of 35 years. Never made a call before. Yes ill enjoy killing one with my call :).

That would be cool. Ive never even used or had one. Id have to study up on that lol.
Next one make a glass over slate...with rattlesnake covering the soundboard.
I saw that somewhere and it looked absolutely stunning!
Nice sounding call.
Very Cool! It's extremely rewarding to kill a bird with your own call. Great job
