Got my nephew on his 2nd bird this morning! Got to watch a gobbler breed a hen and then this guy presented a shot.

19.8lbs
1.25" matching spurs
10" beard

Great work!

Curious to know how the birds were acting. Responding to calls ok? Gobbler groups busted up?

Seems like things are unfolding a little late this year, but the opener is next week.

Not much gobbling. Not responding to calls real good. There was 2 gobblers and 3 jakes with about 15 hens. Lots of patience and luck got this one.

That gobbler tote should have a loop on the other end to put around the gobblers neck. Tote him out like a satchel. :-)
