Title: Should I try another choke?
Post by: WyoHunter on April 19, 2011, 04:54:01 PM
I'm shooting a HS Undertaker .582 choke in my Beretta 391 with Hevi-13 7's. I'm getting a pattern at 40 yds that has 135 shot in 10". I don't doubt I'll be able to kill a turkey at 45 yds with it. I did so last spring which proved me right. I see 20 ga. shooters shooting chokes from .570 down to .555. For those who have used chokes in this range using Hevi-13 7's what you recommend for a higher shot count in 10" at 40 yds?   :cowboy:

Call or PM SumToy and let him get you up in the 150-160 range consistently. Anything more than that and you're asking for trouble. IMO there's not enough margin for error shooting at a turkey's head and neck with 180 10" counts out of a 1.25oz load.
