Title: LBL Info
Post by: Ozarkoutfitter8 on March 16, 2018, 09:12:42 AM
Got drawn for the land between the lakes hunt this spring for the Tennessee portion. First time getting drawn for this hunt just wanting some basic information from anyone that has been drawn for this before (Not your spot). Hunting pressure? Bird numbers? Etc. Anything would be appreciated, feel free to send a PM as well.

Wear a good pair of hiking boots. If the weather is good you should have an enjoyable hunt.

Seed ticks are horrible! Make sure you treat your clothes with permethrin.

I got drawn for the 2nd time. First time was the weekend and this time tues wed.  A friend of mine killed one on the Tuesday hunt and told me where he heard several gobbling.  He said get there real early. He wasnt kidding..pulled in my spot at 3am and few mins later other trucks were pulling in, but saw me and went on. Most hunters will drive on if they see a vehicle but always the few who wont and have heard stories of hunters setting up way too close to others.  But its really pretty area and several turkeys. But lots of hunters
