You could for the pattern density.
But a model 42 ?
Would kinda be wondering about barrel scoring on a gun of that value .
Don't know what Federal did with those to protect the barrel?
I believe hand loads guys take a extra measure to protect their loads from scoring, they would be the ones to ask.
If ok heck yeah shoot em.
