Title: Public turkey land around Auburn Alabama
Post by: Jhp148 on March 04, 2018, 02:27:03 PM
I have a wedding I can't miss that is in Auburn. Unfortunately that takes me away from my turkey hunting grounds. Anyone on here know of some core ground or public ground that you can hunt around that area? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Tuskegee National Forest (closest) and Barbour WMA both have good bird populations. I don't hunt either, but I hear both are hunted pretty hard.

Tuskegee national forest. That's where I began turkey hunting when I was at a
Auburn in 1987. Good luck.

Tuskeegee definitely has birds and is very close by. Lots of Auburn students hunt it, but like any public ground you just have to work a little to get away from the crowd.
