Title: Sxp longbeard
Post by: Tcagle on February 17, 2018, 08:51:31 AM
I just got a new Indian creek choke for my gun. I tried it out with mag blends and it put  up 174 in a 10in circle at 40yards.  I posted it on another form and guys told me it should be better what do you guys think?(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180217/17fba514a966490e797f6f9adccbb0fb.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180217/15ef2b4ce6b0560dcb2889830c3a2651.jpg)

I thought it was pretty good myself. It only put up 150's with longbeards

Ain't nothing wrong with that.

Those idiots clearly wouldn't know a good hunting pattern if it jumped up and bit em on the backside. Hunt that and post up the kill pics after!   :icon_thumright:

Solid hunting pattern, the folks that said it could be better. Prob forget 100 in a 10in use to be the minimum recommended.

I'd hunt that knowing full well it'll crush one. :turkey2:

That just goes to show you, don't believe everything you hear! I would hunt with that any day. Truth is most of us have used far worse, and have many dead birds to back it up.

That will kill all day, nice even pattern. No reason to change anything unless you like to count holes.

Saying that, those numbers should be higher with that shell. Most seem to break or at least get a little closer to 200 with that shell. Temperature can greatly impact a pattern. Hevi13 may have even changed something with their shells again, who knows.

Either way, no gobbler is walking away from your pattern at 40 plus some wiggle room. If your happy with it hunt with confidence.
