Which would you choose between the two. Thanks for the comments!
The 1/4 strut last year brought me immediate success, it's a killer posture on a jake decoy.
The 1/4 strut has worked really well for me so far.
I'm a AvianX fan. Duck, goose and turkeys, but I've always thought the 1/4 strut Jake looked goofy. I did buy a 1/2 strut Jake and I like the way he looks. Bought him after the season, so I don't know yet what turkeys think. Really though, I think either will work great.
Yeah, yeah, I know it's not a DSD. Lol
1/4 strut Jake regardless what kind or brand you buy...

I just think it shows less aggression, as the turkeys have been active setting up the pecking order and some of the 2 year old birds have already had a pretty good butt whipping ....Younger birds are trying to establish their dominance within the pecking order...
I am using a DSD 3/4 Strut jake and it works!! Big thing I do not do is use more than one Jake decoy, I will use him as a subordinate to a strutter. I don't set a jake in "breeding" position and always leave space "elbow room" (this is a big one)between Jake & hen decoys. Just a few of my general rules with decoys.
Might want to consider a DSD :)

Never used the half strut, but my 1/4 strut has done awesome!
I bought a Avian 1/2 Strut. Killed 5 gobblers last spring. Never pulled it out of the truck lol

Another vote for the 1/4 strut, it's what I have and like it.
