Title: Stoeger M3500 vs Mossberg 935 opnions wanted.
Post by: nhhunter722 on February 14, 2018, 11:48:43 AM
Hi everyone,

Need some help trying to make a decision, I am looking a purchasing either the M3500 or 935. Let me here your input/opinions. It will be used mainly for waterfowl also a back up/spare turkey gun as I already have a dedicated 870. Both are close to the same price so that isn't an issue.

Thanks guys!

Long recoil, inertial driven gun vs a gas operated gun.  Both 3.5" chambered.  One overbored.  I have shot both quite a lot. The 3500 will be more finicky on the pattern board.  The 935 is going to be heavier.   I like both.  For mainly waterfowl though I'd go with the 3500.  You'll be able to get it to pattern turkey loads with a little tinkering and you'll appreciate the weight savings and utter simplicity if you have to clean it in the field from say dropping it overboard off your kyak into 2 feet of mud...lol

I'd go with the 3500 as well...

3500. Lighter and easier to breakdown and clean. Less likely to have issues with low brass loads

I have a 935 waterfowl, and I love it. It patterns great, and I don't think it is that heavy. On the other hand I don't have any experience with the 3500.
