Even at 83 years young he can still get it done. He can't get around like he used to and thats probably a good thing for the local turkey population. He scored on this nice Bama bird Friday. He can't sit up for pictures because of his back, but that doesn't keep him out of the woods. He said that this will probably be the last turkey he ever kills and that if it is he had a good run. I told him I've heard that crap for about 20 birds now :D

Wow with both parents so skilled at turkey hunting you should be dangerous to their populations. I think it is great he can still get out and have a good time and you are luck to have him there, enjoy it while you can. :newmascot:

Good eye! Tapes out at an even 12"
Very nice guesswho.
Wish my Dad was still around to enjoy hunts with.
Congratulations to your Dad on a hell of a bird. I think as hunters get older they learn to treat every season while it might be there last hoping deep inside that it wont be. I have been hearing my Grandpa talk like that since I was thirteen or fourteen years old. I turned 30 last Saturday!
Congrats to you and your Pop. My dad is around your dad's age and he can not go out hunting anymore and I do miss the times we spent together.
Congrats to your dad Ronnie!! I hope I am still around at that age, much less still able to carry a gobbler back to the truck every now and then!! :you_rock:
