Title: Daughters Gun Ready
Post by: Gumby on February 12, 2018, 10:21:13 PM
Posted this in the .410 forum but figured I would post here as well. Bought this neat TR Imports Silver Eagle .410 for $160. Installed a Russian made vent rib red dot that uses fiber optics instead batteries. LimbSaver recoil pad and comb riser. Going to pattern some Apex loads. Hope it does ok out to 30 yards or so.

That is a wild looking site I think it's cool.

Ya. It's interesting. I searched a long time for an optic that would mount to a vent rib that she could use easily. I'm very impressed with the clarity and build quality. Only concern is going to be getting it adjusted as needed for windage and elevation as the adjustments are crude.

Maybe tap and drill and ff3, maybe it will shoot pow/poi without sights?

Maybe it will. We will see. I didn't wanna go to the expense and trouble to drill and tap but that would be ideal. I can always put some williams fire sights on if the fiber optic sight doesn't work out.

That is a neat setup. Good luck to both of you this season.

I have a Beretta .410 that is made like that from the 1960s...it was my grandfathers gun.

I had a Silver Eagle TR Imports semi 12 gauge it was a great shooting gun other than being too shiney for my liking but for the price there a nice gun.

Sweet looking setup.  Mine has decided that she is blowing off a shoe shopping expedition with The Boss Hen and wants to shoot her gun and get it patterned this weekend.  :OGturkeyhead:

Nice! Those Apex loads should serve it well.
