Title: Diaphragm Call Question
Post by: chow hound on February 06, 2018, 03:19:16 PM
My goal for the year is to get better on a diaphragm, so I have been doing a lot of experimenting.  I found that it is easiest for me to use when I hold it at what is probably close to a 45 degree angle in my mouth ( so the right side of the call frame is near the front of my mouth and the left side is back in the middle of my mouth).  I think it works better for me because I can do light tongue pressure without it feeling like I am going to swallow it.

Is this really odd or do others do the same thing?

First I have heard of that one. It's like shooting a bow though. If it works well for you and is repeatable then go with it.

I don't think that is anything too crazy. Everyone is different. If you go on, "calling all turkeys", Shane Simpson explains why this might be the case. Also, mouth call magic dvd's are good to have. When you talk to the pros, they experiment too.

Really no difference than running a combo cu vs a reverse combo.  Some guys need the cut on the left vs the right.
