Title: 11-87 Greenleaf on Gunbroker
Post by: Deputy 14 on January 30, 2018, 07:02:51 PM
As much as I hate to sell this thing I've got to acquire some funds for an upcoming lease. Here's the link to the gunbroker listing. Before anyone spazzes out I'm not using the forum to sell a gun, just giving the guys here a heads up, it's been cleared by OG.

You will get good money for it.  Looks great.  I'll be watching, but I imagine it will go beyond what I'm willing to pay for a remington

Why not just get a new versamax or m2? I like older guns like the next guy but this one escapes reasoning to me.

They no longer make this camo and when they did offer it as an option, it wasn't for very long. So there aren't too many of these around

No one offers the Greenleaf camo dip and never have Remington factory was the only place to get it. You can get the original Bottomland dip at a few places but no Greenleaf

I'm watching this 11-87, and have a question for ya...why did you have to touch up the spots on the receiver? Did you have a side saddle scope mount on it or something similar?

If his is like mine the finish wears off, after 25 years of carrying mine the camo finish has rubbed off in several places.

I didnt do the touch up, it was done prior to me purchasing it. Doesn't look like it had a saddle mount though.

Have a 10yr old Remington and the dip is wearing off already. Dipped guns definitely doesn't  like mosquito spray.

I'm guessing she is going to sell for $1300 at least  from what I've seen in the last year or so!

How much did these guns cost new?

what is so special about these guns other then the color?

I am not trying to be a smarty just curious if folks buy them just because of the color?

I am not above a man spending whatever he wants to get whatever he wants.

yeah Praise God i hope he sales it for 2000.00 i am not envy of anyone. i was just curious why these things bring big money. I guess everyone sees things differently and thats great.

I was curious if it shot so good or if its just a color that is unique.

does anyone know what these guns sold for brand new?

As a Remington armorer, I can tell you these guns are far superior to the new ones. I've torn this one down and the newer ones down, same parts, but the machining in the older ones are much more exact.
