My old man recently equipped his 870 with a Blackhawk KNOXX® SPECOPS STOCK GEN III pistol grip and then topped it with a red dot sight. The problem is that with the red dot sight, you now have to lift your head well off of the stock to see the dot. Does anyone know of any product that can be added to the stock to raise the comb height?
I have the same problem with one of my turkey guns with a red dot, i just have to over look raising my my cheek off the stock ... now i have heard of people taking one of those black adhesive pipe covers and cutting it to help give more rise on these type stocks... Those pipe covers come in different sizes at Lowe's and are in the plumbing dept..
You can buy cheekpiece risers in a few different hights for around 25 bucks on ebay.
