I've used everything from 21"-30". But I personally like something in the 24-26" range. Much longer can make the gun a bit more unhandy. Much less and I don't have as long of a sight plane as what I prefer.

24", by the time you screw in a choke your at the 26" mark.

 doesn't matter, but I prefer a 24" even though I am going shorter this year.
