It has started already, thinking about hunts of this past spring. I don't have as many encounters to recall this year, as I've had in past years. I learned to cherish everyone as it seems to be harder to get a gobble every year. I'm counting on a decent hatch this Spring in NY where I do most of my hunting, but you never know. The populations in the areas I hunt have been reducing every year. Where I may have had a dozen or more groups of birds are now only a handful. Just wanted to shout out a Merry Christmas to all my friends here at OG. And my the New Year bring you many gobbles.
Yeah I have dealt with declining numbers before but they can bounce back sometimes also. Sometimes it only takes 1 gobble to make a great hunt. Thanks for the Merry Christmas wishes and you do the same and good luck this spring.
