After a long, grueling winter...spring turkey season is almost here!!!
The birds seem to be a couple of weeks behind schedule at this point but the boys were out strutting their stuff big time during his AM's scouting trip. Can't wait for next weekend's youth hunt. Our regular season opens the following sunday. Man, I can't wait to get out there and start chasing those bearded devils again... :z-guntootsmiley:!!!!!!

Yeah man. It seems like we've been waiting forever, but it's finally approaching. So far, it's not looking too great on our property. We've been down twice in the last week to shoot, and we have only seen 1 hen. We are going to go down tomorrow evening for a couple of hours and actually do our first scouting of the year. I'm really not worried yet because in the 10 or 12 years we have turkey hunted there, we have always had birds so I hope they are around. The birds that have been seen on other properties have been strutting their stuff. I personally haven't laid eyes on a strutter yet.
